| Job Responsibilities | This position will be responsible for ensuring that all Tyres and Tubes produced meet the company’s quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement across the factory. 1. Quality Assurance & Control Oversee all quality control activities for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Ensure consistent implementation of quality standards across Mixing, Extrusion, Building, Curing, and Tube Testing operations. Approve final inspection reports and authorize product release. 2. Process Monitoring & Improvement Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to SOPs, WI, and QA standards. Analyze defects, scrap, and wastage rates and develop initiatives to minimize them. Implement process optimization strategies to enhance product performance and durability. 3. Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving Lead investigations on quality issues using 5 Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC methodologies. Implement effective CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions) to prevent recurrence of defects. 4. Certification & Compliance Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards. Prepare for internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of all findings. Maintain detailed documentation, records, and traceability systems. 5. Customer Complaint Management Receive, analyze, and resolve customer complaints related to tyre and tube quality. Prepare detailed complaint analysis reports and implement corrective actions. 6. Supplier & Raw Material Quality Evaluate and qualify raw material suppliers based on quality performance. Supervise incoming material inspection and ensure consistency in compound quality. 7. Reporting & Data Analysis Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports. Use SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan, and other QC tools for analysis and continuous improvement. 8. Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor QC Inspectors, Lab Technicians, and QA Staff. Conduct training sessions to enhance team capability in testing methods and quality tools. Promote 5S, safety, and disciplined work culture within the quality department. |
| Requirements | Technical Skills Strong command over ISO standards, IATF 16949, QA documentation, and regulatory requirements. Skilled in 7 QC Tools, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans, and reliability testing. Proficiency in RCA, CAPA, and process troubleshooting. Strong leadership and team management ability. | Experience | Minimum 10-12 years of experience in tyre, tube, or rubber product manufacturing. Hands-on experience in rubber compounding, curing technology, and QC laboratory testing. |
| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Diploma in Rubber Technology / Polymer Science is highly preferred. |
